Garage Liability and Terms of Service

By leaving your vehicle with SmartAuto Garage Limited, you accept the following terms:

1. General Care and Custody: SmartAuto Garage Limited will take reasonable care of your vehicle. However, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from circumstances beyond our control, including theft, vandalism, weather damage, or third-party actions.

2. Contents of Vehicle: Please remove all valuables from the vehicle. We accept no responsibility for personal belongings left inside.

3. Third-Party Work: Under no circumstances are we obliged to carry out or subcontract external work. If third-party services are arranged, it is done with prior consent and solely as a gesture of goodwill.

  • We are not liable for work carried out by third parties.

  • Such work may delay the completion of your job.

4. Warranty and Workmanship: We guarantee our parts and labour for certain periods depending on the services used. This warranty excludes:

  • Any additional parts not supplied or installed by us

  • Any damage caused by negligence, aggressive driving, racing, or improper use of the vehicle

  • Any work later performed by a third party

  • Any issues not detectable during diagnostics due to the intermittent or hidden nature of faults

Warranty is strictly limited to the part and labour carried out by SmartAuto Garage Limited at the time of service.

5. Storage and Parking Due to limited space:

  • Vehicles may be parked on the public street, and we refuse liability for any resulting damage or fines

  • Customers are responsible for arranging prompt collection

  • If delays occur, a storage fee of €50/day (for private space) may apply

  • Recovery fees will be charged if we need to move or store the vehicle elsewhere

  • All parking tickets or fines incurred while awaiting collection are the responsibility of the customer

6. Estimates and Final Pricing: All pricing is estimated only and subject to change once diagnostic or dismantling begins.

  • Diagnosing faults may require removal of parts or in-depth inspection

  • This work is covered by a non-refundable deposit

  • If no deposit was paid, labour is charged at €120/hour + VAT

  • Customers may refuse further work if the quote is too high, but any labour performed up to that point must be paid in full

  • Reinstallation of removed parts is not included in basic diagnostic service and, if required, will be charged separately at standard labour rates

7. Test Drives and Diagnostics: You authorise us to test drive your vehicle for the purpose of diagnosis and quality checks.

8. Abandoned Vehicles: If your vehicle remains uncollected 30 days after notice of completion, we reserve the right to recover our costs through legal means or disposal of the vehicle in line with applicable laws.

9. Timelines and Delays: While we aim to complete work within a reasonable timeframe, no fixed completion date can be guaranteed. Delays may occur due to iInternal workflow constraints, supplier or third-party delays, especially related to engine components or specialist parts Extended lead times from certain manufacturers or brands outside of our control. We will inform you of any significant delays, but SmartAuto Garage Limited is not liable for any inconvenience or costs arising from extended repair times.
