Body Kit Fitting And Styling Services

THE GAPS ARE WHERE CHEAP FITTING SHOWS.
Body kits, lips, skirts, diffusers and full bumper conversions fitted properly, with test fitting before paint, correct fixings rather than self tappers through a wing, and everything aligned before the car leaves. We will also tell you honestly what will and will not pass a test, and what your insurer needs to know.

A Body Kit Is A Fitting Job, Not A Parts Job

Buying the kit is the easy part. What decides whether the car looks sharp or looks like a repair are the things that happen after the box is opened. Whether the panels were test fitted before paint. Whether the mounting points line up or were persuaded. Whether the fixings are the right ones or whatever was in the drawer. Whether the gaps are even on both sides when you stand back from ten feet.

Bad fitting announces itself within a year. Panels lift at the corners, a skirt starts to rattle over speed bumps, a lip cracks the first time it meets a kerb, and drilled holes rust from the inside out.  We work on cars, vans and light commercials of all makes, and we are VAG specialists for Volkswagen, Audi, Skoda and SEAT.

Body Kit And Styling Services We Carry Out

Full Body Kit Fitting

Front bumper or lip, side skirts and rear bumper or diffuser fitted as a set, test fitted before any paint goes near them, and aligned as a whole so the lines carry along the car rather than stopping at each panel.

- Complete kit test fit before paint
- Panel gap and alignment set across the car
- Correct fixings, clips and brackets throughout
- Underside and wheel arch liner refitting

Front Lips, Splitters And Spoilers

The most popular single upgrade and the one most exposed to damage. Mounting method matters enormously here, because a lip carried on adhesive alone will not survive an Irish winter or a car park ramp.

- Front lip and splitter fitting
- Boot and roof spoiler fitting
- Bonded and mechanically fixed mounting
- Ground clearance advice before you commit

Side Skirts And Rear Diffusers

Skirts take road spray, salt and jacking damage, so mounting points and sealing are what decide how long they last. Diffusers need exhaust clearance checked properly rather than assumed.

- Side skirt fitting and sealing
- Rear diffuser fitting with exhaust clearance
- Jacking point protection and marking
- Corrosion protection at all fixing points

Grilles, Mirror Caps And Trim

The smaller changes that shift a car's look without touching a bumper, and the ones most often ruined by broken clips on removal.

- Front grille replacement and badge changes
- Mirror cap and trim fitting
- Window trim and detail work
- Broken clip and fixing replacement

Bumper Conversions And Facelift Upgrades

Converting a standard car to a sport or facelift look is more involved than a kit, because brackets, sensors, washers, fog lights and wiring often differ between versions.

- Full front and rear bumper conversions
- Bracket, carrier and crash bar fitment checks
- Fog light and washer jet integration
- Wiring and connector adaptation

Paint Matching And Preparation

Unpainted kits arrive in raw plastic that needs proper preparation. Flexible components need a flex additive or they crack, and colour has to be matched to the car as it is now rather than to the code it left the factory with.

- Paint code identification and on car matching
- Correct primer and adhesion promoter for the material
- Flex additive on flexible components
- Blending into adjacent panels where needed

Electrical Symptoms We Trace Every Week

Electrical faults rarely fix themselves and they usually get worse in cold or wet weather. If any of these sound familiar, book a diagnostic before it becomes a recovery call.

01

The Car Will Not Start Or Just Clicks

A rapid clicking normally means not enough current, which points at the battery or its connections. One solid click usually points at the starter or its solenoid. Silence points somewhere else again.

02

The Battery Goes Flat When The Car Is Parked

Classic parasitic drain. A module that will not shut down, a sticking relay, a boot light, an alarm or a badly fitted accessory. The battery is the victim, not the cause, which is why a new one lasts a fortnight.

03

Battery Warning Light On Or Headlights Dimming

Almost always the charging system rather than the battery. An alternator, a regulator or a slipping belt failing to keep up with demand.

04

Engine Management Light On But The Car Drives Normally

Very common, and worth acting on. Emissions and sensor faults often cause no symptom at first while quietly damaging parts that cost far more than the original repair.

05

Airbag Or ABS Light Staying On

Both will fail a test and both mean a safety system is disabled. Airbag faults are frequently caused by a connector under a seat, which is a cheap fix once it is found.

06

Electrics Cutting Out Or Working Only Sometimes

Intermittent faults are wiring faults until proven otherwise. Corrosion, a loose earth or a chafed wire that only shorts when the car flexes over a bump.

How A Body Kit Fit Works, Stage By Stage

Stage 01

Consultation And Parts Check
We look at the car and the kit together, confirm the variant is right, check what fixings are supplied and flag anything missing before a fitting date is agreed.

Stage 02
Test Fit And Quote Confirmation Panels are offered up unpainted so any fitment problems surface now rather than after paint. The quote is confirmed against what the job actually needs.
Stage 03

Preparation And Paint
Correct primer for the material, flex additive where required, and colour matched to your car as it currently is. Nothing is rushed through curing.

Stage 04

Alignment And Handover
Bumpers off, kit fitted with proper fixings, gaps set with the car on its wheels, sensors and lighting checked, headlight aim reset where the bumper was removed, and a road test before you see it.

Body Kit Fitting FAQs

Need a quick answer about your vehicle? Call the garage and speak directly with the team.
How much does body kit fitting cost?
It depends on the kit, the material, how well it is made and whether painting is included. CONFIRM: state your fitting rates and typical prices for a lip, a full kit and a bumper conversion.
A lip or spoiler is often same day. A full painted kit needs several days once preparation, paint and curing time are allowed for. CONFIRM: give your typical turnaround.
Not by itself. Failures come from sharp edges, obscured lights or plates, incorrect lighting, illegal tint or exhaust changes. Fitted properly and finished correctly, a kit is not a problem.
Yes. Modifications are a material fact, and an undeclared kit can affect a claim. It is usually a small adjustment and it removes the risk entirely.
Yes, and most of our customers do exactly that. Send photos and the listing before you buy if you want a view on whether it will fit well.
